YOU As an Inventory Control Manager, you will be responsible for managing the team responsible for inventory planning, which directly impacts the growth and success of the company.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 3 years’ experience developing and implementing inventory control/supply chain strategies that ensure stability and responsiveness to meet customer requirements for various markets; or equivalent combination of education and training.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years’ experience with thorough knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, SAP.
  • 1 year of management or supervisor experience.
  • 1 year of lean experience or comparable certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee inventory planning and right sizing activities; including, but not limited to, internal branch orders, customer backorders, and buyouts.
  • Addressing customer backorders and overseeing expediting of inventory as required with inside/outside sales, production, shipping/receiving, purchasing, and inventory control from all branches.
  • Acts as the central point of contact for inventory management issues; collaborating with inside sales, outside sales, purchasing, warehouse, and production to solve issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Manage a team that is responsible to analyze and interpret customer sales trends, developing insights from data and collaborating with Sales Managers to adjust forecasts through the SIOP process.
  • Analysis of requested forecast adjustments from other dependent plants as submitted by key stakeholders through the SIOP Process for products manufactured or supplied by local plant.
  • Gathers data to identify product availability issues to meet forecasted demand, identifies solutions to availability constraints and presents findings to management.
  • Ensure master data is maintained timely and correctly.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage daily improvement (MDI) by utilizing a PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act) in order to maintain, improve, and develop key department metrics.
  • Lead, motivate and direct the Inventory Control department using effective performance management techniques, including establishing expectations and goals, providing recognition and feedback, and addressing performance problems.
  • Coach, encourage, and develop employees according to their unique interests and strengths.
  • Empower employees to take responsibility for their career and performance.
  • Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members and the organization.
  • Process Improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Lead projects to establish new processes as needed to ensure orders are fulfilled timely and efficiently.
