YOU As an Inventory Control Manager, you will be responsible for managing the team responsible for inventory planning, which directly impacts the growth and success of the company.

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
3 years’ experience developing and implementing inventory control/supply chain strategies that ensure stability and responsiveness to meet customer requirements for various markets; or equivalent combination of education and training.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree
2 years’ experience with thorough knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, SAP.
1 year of management or supervisor experience.
1 year of lean experience or comparable certifications.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee inventory planning and right sizing activities; including, but not limited to, internal branch orders, customer backorders, and buyouts.
Addressing customer backorders and overseeing expediting of inventory as required with inside/outside sales, production, shipping/receiving, purchasing, and inventory control from all branches.
Acts as the central point of contact for inventory management issues; collaborating with inside sales, outside sales, purchasing, warehouse, and production to solve issues and perform root cause analysis.
Manage a team that is responsible to analyze and interpret customer sales trends, developing insights from data and collaborating with Sales Managers to adjust forecasts through the SIOP process.
Analysis of requested forecast adjustments from other dependent plants as submitted by key stakeholders through the SIOP Process for products manufactured or supplied by local plant.
Gathers data to identify product availability issues to meet forecasted demand, identifies solutions to availability constraints and presents findings to management.
Ensure master data is maintained timely and correctly.
Demonstrate the ability to manage daily improvement (MDI) by utilizing a PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act) in order to maintain, improve, and develop key department metrics.
Lead, motivate and direct the Inventory Control department using effective performance management techniques, including establishing expectations and goals, providing recognition and feedback, and addressing performance problems.
Coach, encourage, and develop employees according to their unique interests and strengths.
Empower employees to take responsibility for their career and performance.
Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members and the organization.
Process Improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
