Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, management information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education, professional training, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible, hands-on experience supporting and administering enterprise network and systems environments.
  • Demonstrated experience performing both network administration and systems administration in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience supporting technology in a high-availability environment where system reliability, timely response, and continuity of operations are essential.
  • Experience identifying infrastructure needs and leading or supporting technology upgrades, system replacements, network improvements, or other technical projects.
  • Experience coordinating technology vendors, contractors, telecommunications providers, consultants, or other technical resources.
  • Experience providing technical support and service to users with varied levels of technical knowledge.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise wired and wireless networking, including switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, network segmentation, and performance monitoring.
  • Strong working knowledge of systems administration, including servers, operating systems, directory and identity services, user access, endpoints, storage, backups, virtualization, cloud services, and software deployment.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, including least-privilege access, multifactor authentication, endpoint protection, secure configuration, patch management, vulnerability remediation, incident escalation, and backup and recovery.
  • Ability to configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network and systems infrastructure while recognizing when an issue should be escalated to venue leadership, Legends Global Corporate IT, or a specialized service provider.
  • Ability to diagnose complex technical problems, evaluate available information, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions with appropriate urgency.
  • Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions during outages, live events, and other time-sensitive situations where technology issues may affect business or event operations.
  • Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users patiently and professionally across a wide range of technical proficiency.
  • Ability to explain technical issues, risks, alternatives, and recommendations clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong project-management and organizational skills, including the ability to establish priorities, coordinate multiple activities, manage timelines, and follow assignments through completion.
  • Ability to evaluate infrastructure conditions and translate technical findings into practical recommendations, preliminary scopes, budget considerations, and implementation plans.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain clear technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, equipment inventories, procedures, project records, and incident documentation.
  • Ability to establish productive working relationships with venue employees, clients, tenants, promoters, touring personnel, vendors, contractors, and corporate technology partners.
  • Ability to provide technical direction to vendors, contractors, temporary personnel, project teams, and other assigned resources.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with venue leadership, Legends Global Corporate IT, internal departments, and external partners.
  • Ability to handle confidential, proprietary, and security-sensitive information with appropriate discretion.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies, adapt to changing operational needs, and remain current with relevant infrastructure and cybersecurity practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting technology within an arena, stadium, convention center, performing-arts venue, casino, hospitality operation, live-entertainment facility, or similarly complex and event-driven environment.
  • Experience administering Cisco-based enterprise network infrastructure; experience with other leading networking, infrastructure, and security platforms is also valued.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft enterprise technologies, such as Microsoft 365, Windows, Windows Server, Active Directory or Entra ID, and related identity and endpoint-management tools.
  • Experience supporting technology associated with ticketing, point-of-sale, access control, video surveillance, digital signage, audiovisual, telecommunications, or building systems.
  • Experience contributing to infrastructure assessments, lifecycle planning, budget development, procurement, or the preparation of technical scopes and project recommendations.
  • Previous experience training employees, directing technical personnel, or supervising staff.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as Cisco CCNA or CCNP Enterprise, CompTIA Network+ or Security+, Microsoft, cloud-platform, cybersecurity, or comparable credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site technology resource for Desert Diamond Arena, working closely with venue leadership, Legends Global Corporate IT team, technology vendors, and other support partners.
  • Provide hands-on administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the venue’s technology environment, including wired and wireless networks, switches, firewalls, servers, cloud services, active directory, endpoints, telecommunications, and related systems.
  • Provide responsive technical support to venue employees and authorized users, managing issues through resolution and coordinating escalation to corporate teams or specialized vendors when appropriate.
  • Support concerts, sporting events, meetings, and other venue activities by identifying technology requirements, testing critical systems, coordinating temporary installations, and responding to event-related technology issues.
  • Maintain appropriate cybersecurity practices for venue systems and data, including access controls, system updates, endpoint protection, network segmentation, backups, documentation, and incident escalation in accordance with Legends Global requirements and recognized industry practices.
  • Monitor the performance, capacity, availability, security, and lifecycle condition of venue technology; document risks, and recommend practical improvements, replacement priorities, and corrective actions.
  • Serve as a technical subject-matter resource in the development of operating plans, capital plans, and a long-term technology roadmap by providing system assessments, project recommendations, preliminary scopes, budget estimates, and implementation considerations.
  • Lead assigned technology projects and implementation activities, including requirements gathering, technical coordination, procurement support, installation, testing, documentation, training, and transition to ongoing operations.
  • Coordinate technology access, connectivity, and system-integration requirements for tenants, promoters, touring productions, contractors, vendors, and event partners while protecting the security and integrity of venue systems.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and service providers on technology supporting ticketing, point-of-sale, access control, video surveillance, audiovisual systems, digital signage, building systems, communications, and other venue operations.
  • Maintain accurate technology documentation, including network diagrams, equipment inventories, system configurations, licensing, warranties, support agreements, and operating procedures.
  • Support annual operating and capital budget development by identifying technology needs, obtaining pricing, evaluating options, and preparing technical recommendations for venue leadership.
  • Coordinate the work of technology vendors, contractors, temporary resources, and other assigned personnel; monitor performance and confirm that work meets technical, operational, cybersecurity, and event-readiness requirements.
  • Maintain flexibility to provide on-site or remote support during evenings, weekends, holidays, and other nontraditional hours when required by the event schedule or critical technology incidents.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
