About The Position

The Information Technology (IT) Manager is responsible for managing and continuously improving information systems for the US organization. This position serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure enterprise applications support business processes, operational goals, compliance requirements, and strategic objectives. The IT Manager plans, establishes, and manages technology projects while coordinating the business and technical aspects of assigned initiatives. This role also oversees the reliable operation and day-to-day maintenance of business applications, telecom systems, desktop and field devices, customer support, end-user training, and related support functions. The position works closely with executive leadership, functional business leaders, the Subgroup IT Infrastructure team, and external vendors to ensure systems remain secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science-related field required
  • At least five years of related experience in administration of information systems and technology, with increasing level of responsibility throughout.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper functioning of corporate information processing systems and business applications.
  • Helps business operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency.
  • Works close with senior management to assure corporate goals are met by applying technology to the routines of the business.
  • Keeps computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs and Group IT policies.
  • Plans, develops, and implements standard or custom business management applications along with standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinates with all departments in obtaining cooperation and consults with Subgroup and Group IT Departments, and external vendors in performing job duties.
  • Establishes and maintains application specific governance processes, standards and best practices.
  • Directs and controls all activities of the day-to-day IT functions, including the planning, budgeting, and maintenance of networks in support of any system.
  • Schedules audits to systems for the optimization of capacity.
  • Maintains equipment and data storage along with maintaining a disaster recovery plan.
  • Assists in the development of departmental standards and procedures, directs and coordinates the work, providing technical support and training as it relates to operation of hardware and software within the network infrastructure.
  • Leads or oversees information technology projects including development of project plans, budgeting, tracking and implementation.
  • Implements and promotes the company’s Global and Subgroup IT standards and policies.
  • Supports Global or Subgroup IT projects as required.
  • Sets effective KPI’s to measure performance across all stakeholder groups.
  • Travels as necessary.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures, including safety and quality.
  • Manages all employees of the department, including hiring, performance management, maintaining discipline, morale, harmonious personnel relations, and handling complaints and grievances.
  • Makes effective recommendations for promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Maintains personnel records on subordinates.
  • Coordinates the US IT Team to ensure compliance with Company policy and procedures.
  • Coordinates the US IT Team to support the PPG and Global ACO IT projects.
