About The Position

The City of Woodstock IT Department is seeking an Information Technology Manager to assist the Information Technology Director in planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising the daily operations of the Information Technology Department. This role oversees part-time, limited part-time, and seasonal technical staff, manages technology infrastructure and security, coordinates information technology projects, maintains critical business systems, and ensures the reliable operation of the City's technology environment. The work is performed under the supervision of the Information Technology Director.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, MIS, Cybersecurity, or related field with at least three years of progressively responsible IT experience including supervisory responsibilities, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
Professional customer service and technical support experience.

Responsibilities

Assists the Information Technology Director in planning, implementing, and maintaining the City's technology infrastructure and strategic technology initiatives.
Manages the administration, maintenance, and security of servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.
Oversee the daily activities and responsibilities of part-time Information Technology Department staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, training, and mentoring.
Oversee the City's Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), licensing, and related cloud technologies.
