Requirements

  • 2 Years Technical or Associate Degree
  • Minimum 2-3 years Manager/ Supervisory experience in an acute care setting
  • Current RCP license from the State of California Respiratory Care Board
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, MAB and NRP
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong Computer knowledge required with experience in Excel, Microsoft word

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy preferred.
  • Bachelor’s in Respiratory Therapy preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Related Field preferred
  • At least 2-3 years as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in an acute care setting preferred
  • RRT license preferred
  • Intubation experience or certification preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish or Chinese preferred
  • EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manager of Cardiopulmonary Services reports directly to the Hospital's Chief Operating Officer (COO).
  • Main duties will be to lead, plan, organize, implement, and direct, along with problem solving, and interactions with other departments and medical staff for the entire program and service line.
  • This Manager will need to ensure that services provided [Respiratory Care, Cardiology, Ventilator Care] meet external and internal customer needs.
  • Most important will need to develop both operating and capital budgets with input from administration, staff and physicians.
  • Responsible for assuring appropriate management practices, maintenance of appropriate staffing levels, competency assessment, staff orientation, ongoing education and development.
  • Promotes and maintains effective relationships and communication with team members, organizational leadership, and medical staff members.
  • Serves as a role model for the program.
  • Mentors and guides the team.
