Manager - Industrial Engineering
About The Position
Prefab Design and Optimization (HAC), part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking a Manager - Industrial Engineering. This role manages the design, implementation, and improvement of industrialized production systems supporting DPR’s prefabrication and product delivery efforts. The manager applies industrial engineering principles to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve predictability across manufacturing, logistics, and assembly operations. The role leads industrial engineers and ensures consistent application of standards and methods. DPR expects employees to take ownership of outcomes and act in the best interest of the team, customer, project, and organization. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or production system design.
- 2+ years of experience leading teams or technical initiatives.
Nice To Haves
- Lean Six Sigma or related certifications preferred.
- FE or PE licensure beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Manage development and deployment of production systems, standard work, and flow-based manufacturing approaches.
- Oversee optimization of factory layouts, workcells, and material handling to improve throughput and quality.
- Apply Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods to reduce variability, waste, and rework.
- Coordinate with product, computational design, and operations teams to align digital and physical production systems.
- Review production data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Guide quality control, inspection processes, and compliance efforts within prefab operations.
- Coach and develop industrial engineers, ensuring technical rigor and practical application.
