About The Position

Manages the enterprise (the Company's Jimmy John's restaurant) to ensure outstanding customer service and high-quality products are delivered in order to achieve restaurant profitability. The Manager in Training (MIT) program is the fast track to management. You’ll receive hands-on training and work assignments designed to prepare you for promotion to Assistant Manager within 90 days. No prior management experience is required—just energy, dedication, and a desire to learn. During the program, you’ll gain experience in all aspects of store operations, including fast and accurate sandwich preparation, world-class customer service, maintaining a clean and organized shift, and managing store-level metrics to drive profitability. After completing the training program, you’ll step into the Assistant Manager role. In this position, you’ll oversee day-to-day store operations with a positive, go-getter attitude, ensuring the team performs efficiently and the store runs smoothly. You’ll lead by example, executing all systems and procedures with integrity in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age or older and able to work 40+ hour weeks.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as Adobe-Acrobat
Ability to handle fast-paced and high-stress situations in the store.
Organize and establish priorities in the store with minimal supervision.
Able to provide feedback and recommendations on store and employee performance.
Willing to work evenings, holidays, weekends as business dictates.
Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
Ability to handle and resolve customer threats and issues.
Ability to handle and resolve employee issues.
Ability to handle stress and a high-volume enterprise.
At least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

Manages a staff of approximately 3 to 50 employees, in excess of 80 hours of labor each week.
Assigns, oversees and evaluates work. Recommends promotion, transfer, or termination of employees based on performance.
Provides on-the-job training for new and existing employees.
Delegates and is responsible for the ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies for the unit to ensure a minimum loss from waste or theft.
Supervises and executes the preparation, sales, and service of food.
Forecasts food items. Estimates what amount of each food item will be consumed per shift to avoid customer threats and set the following shift up for success.
Ensures that every customer receives world-class customer service.
Routes deliveries and serves drivers to maximize delivery business and speed within the four walls of the restaurant.
Completes and oversees daily food preparation (opening procedures, meat and vegetable slicing, bread production.)
Completes and oversees opening and closing procedures.
Executes systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness.
Completes daily and weekly paperwork.
Responsible for 100% of the cash drawers at all times during the shift.
Receives and stores product.
Audits previous shift's systems and procedures for 100% integrity and completeness.
Completes preventive maintenance and upkeep on store's equipment and supplies.
Performs other related duties as requested.
Participate in hiring process, including accepting applications, reviewing applications, following up on applications, scheduling interview and conducting interviews.
Displays a sense of urgency in all tasks.
