This role is responsible for supporting the Jackson, MS area by implementing retail field training specifically for Family Dollar. The Regional Training Manager (RTM) is accountable for Field Talent Development, Instructor-led training, District Manager Training, and Train-The-Trainer sessions. This includes the selection, assessment, oversight, certification, and ongoing management of the Model Store Training Program. The RTM ensures the quality and full completion of training and certification for District Managers and Store Managers prior to their assignment to new roles. They facilitate major field training initiatives, establish and maintain effective regional business partnerships, and act as a subject matter expert (SME) in the instructional design and development of training content for the field. Strategic planning and alignment of training deployment in key markets are crucial to support the company's People Plan and learning governance strategy. This position reports directly to the Zone Training Director. RTMs possess comprehensive knowledge of store operations, deliver best-in-class learning through classroom facilitation and experiential learning in the field, and serve as training business partners to Regional Directors and District Managers. They interact with all levels of the business, including senior leaders, and are expected to model Family Dollar values, demonstrating professionalism, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and the ability to lead change in a rapidly growing organization. The role requires willingness to travel up to 12 days per month, which may include air travel, driving a company vehicle for up to 5 hours, shuttles, trains, and rental cars.
