This role is responsible for supporting the Grand Rapids, MI area, focusing on retail field training implementation specifically for Family Dollar. The Regional Training Manager (RTM) position is accountable for Field Talent Development, Instructor-led training, District Manager Training, and Train-The-Trainer sessions. This includes the selection, assessment, oversight, certification, and ongoing management of the Model Store Training Program. The RTM ensures the quality and full completion of training and certification for District Managers and Store Managers prior to their assignment to new roles. The position involves professional classroom and in-store experiential facilitation of major field training initiatives, establishing and maintaining effective regional business partnerships, and consulting as a subject matter expert (SME) in the instructional design and development of training content for the field. Strategic planning and alignment of training deployment in key markets are also crucial, supporting the company's People Plan and learning governance strategy. RTMs possess comprehensive knowledge of store operations, deliver best-in-class learning through various methods, and act as training business partners to Regional Directors and District Managers, providing regular business updates and training solutions. They interact with all levels of the business, including senior leaders during major training initiatives. Emotional intelligence, adaptability, and the ability to lead change are critical in this rapidly growing organization. The role requires willingness to travel up to 12 days per month, which may include air travel, driving a company vehicle for up to 5 hours to locations, shuttles, trains, and rental cars.
