About The Position

This position involves leading a Quality Assurance (QA) team in developing automation test frameworks and conducting testing for Connectivity (WIFI, BT) functionalities on Amazon devices, including FTV sticks and Echo speakers. The role requires leading the testing of large-scale systems, creating test plans and test cases, and driving continuous improvements to quality assurance processes using Internet and Web technologies. Responsibilities include developing tests using Python, Java, and Shell Scripts in a Linux environment, documenting and coordinating the deployment of manual and automated tests for complex systems, and testing mobile device development kits and device frameworks. The role also involves designing and building automated test cases for mobile device graphical user interfaces using frameworks like Appium, VNC Robot, and Java, as well as designing, developing, and executing quality assurance test cases and supporting tests for large-scale, distributed software systems using Java (white and black box tests). Additionally, the position requires consulting with and advising project management and development teams on technical issues related to testing procedures, using functional specifications to plan and create test plans and cases, providing regular status reports on project progress, and hiring and developing a team of software developers in test and quality assurance engineers.

Requirements

Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
One year of experience in human capital management, including interviewing and hiring.
One year of experience developing tests for large-scale software systems using Python, Java and Shell Scripts in a Linux environment.
One year of experience performing UI testing, manual testing, automation testing, software testing, and device testing.
One year of experience utilizing agile software development methodologies.
One year of experience designing and building automated test cases for mobile device based graphical user interface using test automation frameworks including Appium, Python, and Java.
One year of experience in connectivity knowledge and experience in WIFI, BT protocols, the performance in field, various access points parameters and call flows.

Responsibilities

Lead Quality Assurance (QA) team in developing automation test frameworks and carry out testing of Connectivity (WIFI, BT) functionalities on Amazon devices, including FTV sticks and Echo speakers.
Lead the testing of large‐scale systems, create test plans, test cases, and drive continuous improvements to the quality assurance processes using Internet and Web technologies including Apache, HTTP, XML, HTML, Load Balancing, and DNS.
Develop tests using Python, Java and Shell Scripts in a Linux environment, documenting and coordinating the deployment of manual and automated tests for complex systems, and testing mobile device development kits and device frame works.
Design and build automated test cases for mobile device based graphical user interface using test automation frameworks such as Appium, VNC Robot and Java.
Design, develop, and execute quality assurance test cases and support tests for large‐scale, distributed software systems using Java including white and black box tests.
Consult with and advise project management and development teams on technical issues related to planning, developing, implementing, and modifying testing procedures.
Use functional specifications to plan, create, or sign‐off on test plans, test cases, and automated test cases.
Provide regular, detailed status report on project progress, including test cases executed, bugs discovered, and bugs fixed.
Hire and develop a multidisciplinary or organization of software developers in test and quality assurance engineers.
