About The Position

Multiple Positions Available: 1. Managing a direct team of 6-10 Procurement Operations professionals with responsibilities across multiple buildings and ensure network-wide standardization for all procurement related processes and FC service activities. Manage complex supply chain management aspects of procurement within Amazon in support of Operations Lead for Procurement within building and network project(s). 2. Coordinating the demand identification, procurement, and inventory management of all non-merchandise items required for the operation of the Fulfillment Center. Develop and utilize demand forecast models. Establishing procurement order streams to match supply with demand on a JIT basis. Working with Non-Inventory Receivers and FC Management to manage storage, labor and flow through the dock and yard areas for non-Inventory supplies. 3. Manage KPI to measure, control, and benchmark procurement processes, including creation of recurring metrics reports to drive improvements for the operations network. 4. Align with internal customers, Finance and Procurement Operations to understand budgetary targets by developing methods of measuring and defining savings, value, and other category metrics. 5. Managing supplier relationships and performance to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance. Develop and utilize metrics to measure operational readiness and non-inventory performance. 6. Manage contract compliance for key categories of spend and suppliers. Administer and manage local/national contracts for supplies and service. Resolving payment issues with vendors and accounts payable. 7. Develop and implement ways to measure suppliers to drive continuous performance improvement on behalf of Amazon. 8. Partnering with internal customers to positively influence spending decisions. Help manage and control Fixed Costs. Develop and implement plans to achieve annual fixed and supply costs savings. 9. Partner with AP, Suppliers, and various internal teams to ensure timely resolution of vendor payment issues.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline, and 1 year of experience in supply chain operations or procurement operations.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain operations or procurement operations.
  • 1 year of experience in using Microsoft Excel and analytical platforms to analyze data using pivots and V-Lookups.
  • 1 year of experience in direct management experience for employees and their performance.
  • 1 year of experience in procurement.
  • 1 year of experience in Coupa or other financial management/procurement software.
  • 1 year of experience in cost accounting.
  • 1 year of experience in Lean / Six-Sigma knowledge.
  • 1 year of experience in supplier/vendor relationship management.
