The Senior Manager, Field Technology plays a critical role in achieving this vision by leading field engineering activities that support safe, efficient, and sustainable project delivery. This role ensures construction operations are executed in alignment with Worley’s integrated, data-centric approach across the full asset lifecycle, from installation through commissioning and beyond. Acting as both a technical authority and a collaborative leader, this position contributes to driving innovation, operational excellence, and long-term value for customers and communities.

Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent trade qualification complemented by relevant training and experience.
Extensive experience in field engineering, construction, or project execution within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.
Advanced understanding of engineering systems, construction methodologies, and project delivery frameworks across the asset lifecycle.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex scopes of work and operate effectively within dynamic, multidisciplinary environments.
Strong technical problem-solving capability, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and develop practical, sustainable solutions.
Proven leadership and team development skills, including the ability to guide, mentor, and influence others.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to inform and persuade on complex matters.
Experience working with integrated, data-centric tools and systems that support engineering and construction execution.

Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, guided by broad objectives and a focus on delivering effective, policy-aligned outcomes.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and supervise field engineering activities within an assigned project area, maintaining full administrative authority and accountability for delivery.
Control and coordinate field engineering work to ensure alignment with project objectives, construction programs, and Worley’s commitment to sustainable outcomes.
Develop and manage construction and procurement schedules that support efficient execution and lifecycle value creation.
Lead subcontract engagement and negotiations, ensuring alignment with project requirements, commercial objectives, and responsible delivery practices.
Provide advanced technical guidance to construction teams, supporting safe, compliant, and efficient operations across complex project environments.
Manage defined scopes of work within projects, ensuring adherence to policies, processes, and business objectives.
Exercise independent judgment in resolving complex technical and operational challenges, setting priorities that align with project and organizational goals.
Assign and oversee work for engineering personnel, ensuring technical accuracy, consistency, and quality of deliverables.
Mentor and support team members through coaching, knowledge sharing, and performance feedback, contributing to capability development and a high-performing culture.
Monitor, control, and report on project progress, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions that support successful outcomes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration across engineering, procurement, and construction functions.
Act as a recognized subject matter expert, influencing decision-making and contributing to the resolution of complex technical issues.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of systems, processes, and tools that enhance efficiency, innovation, and sustainability performance.
