About The Position

Responsible for understanding and articulating how key initiatives fit within Andersen’s strategic plan. Responsible for the development and implementation of business wide strategic products, processes, technologies and business improvement projects. Ensures major work efforts are aligned with short- and long-term business plans and goals. Leads and manages project leaders, engineers, and supply chain process designers through execution of these key initiatives. Must grow, coach and develop talent for the benefit of the business. Understands the industry and technical landscape to drive competitive advantages. Can assemble a compelling business case on a key program or project that clearly satisfies customer requirements. Sponsors major projects or programs that are key to Andersen’s business plan and drives them through to completion. May represent their area of responsibility at the business unit level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar technical background
  • 5-10 years experience of individual engineering work and/or project leadership
  • 5+ years experience leading technical teams and/or project leaders
  • Experience developing new manufacturing processes or evolving existing systems
  • Strong coaching and people development skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic corporate finance, budgeting, accounting
  • Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups

Responsibilities

  • Lead team of technical staff and project leaders to deploy new and/or modified end-to-end manufacturing/supply chain systems for new product offerings, line extensions, and capacity
  • Own program portfolio of projects with near, intermediate, and long term plans and impacts
  • Influence business unit and other functions to deliver the best total business results using an enterprise view
  • Represent Manufacturing Integration & Transformation (MIT) function at business growth team level
  • Accurately estimate resource allocation and align resourcing to prioritized business initiatives
  • Manage staff to achieve business results, individual goals, and personal career development objectives
  • Maintain organizational structure and staff needs as project portfolio evolves, recruiting, developing and retaining top technical talent
  • Cultivate partnership across internal functions to achieve end-to-end objectives
  • Represent company with external partners, equipment & material suppliers, contractors, etc.
  • Develop business cases to justify investments in manufacturing systems
