About The Position

This job functions as an administrative liaison between staff, patients, physicians, families, other hospital departments, and outside agencies. The role involves making administrative decisions, serving as a resource for complex patient cases, identifying and resolving issues affecting patient care delivery, facilitating patient flow, ensuring appropriate and cost-effective resource utilization, and maintaining compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• CPR – American Heart Association
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

Responsibilities

• Has authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the administrator on call, Legal Dept and/or Risk Management when appropriate.
• Serves as a resource person in dealing with complex or complicated patients.
• Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
• Facilitates patient flow, identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care, ensures resources are utilized appropriately and in a cost effective manner.
• Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures of the facility and with all regulatory requirements.
