About The Position

Protiviti is looking for a Manager to join our growing Technology Consulting Healthcare team. Managers partner with clients to solve complex technology risk and cybersecurity challenges, helping healthcare organizations enable the technologies that provide cutting edge patient care and services while keeping robust protections around sensitive data, strengthen resilience, and securely enable digital transformation. Managers build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders while delivering impactful, forward-looking solutions. They develop deep expertise in healthcare environments and cyber risk domains while serving as ambassadors of Protiviti in the market.

Requirements

  • 5+ years working in cyber security, technology risk, consulting, or related field, either in professional services or healthcare industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business-Related Field) required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
  • Solid foundation of healthcare industry knowledge and a deep understanding of key internal controls related to IT, cybersecurity, and other healthcare business functions like revenue cycle, compliance, privacy, operational, clinical, and/or financial processes.
  • Strong understanding of technology risk management, cybersecurity principles, and control frameworks within healthcare environments.
  • Experience assessing technology risks and enhancing controls across security, identity, infrastructure, applications, and data environments.
  • Knowledge of healthcare-specific cybersecurity risks, including ransomware, medical device security, EHR vulnerabilities, and third-party ecosystem risk.
  • Specific focus on areas of technology included: cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, analytics, electronic medical records (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.), enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics etc.), disaster recovery, systems development methodologies etc.
  • Understanding commonly used information technology frameworks / regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, HITRUST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT, ITIL, etc.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as AI and automation, with a focus on governance, security, and risk implications.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate data, identify trends, and provide risk-based recommendations.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations and documentation.
  • Experience leading teams, managing project delivery, and contributing to client account growth.
  • Ability to build relationships, develop thought leadership, and contribute to internal and external initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions a plus.
  • Professional certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess risk, provide advisory services, and deliver solutions across a variety of technology and cyber-focused areas, including: Cybersecurity & Cyber Risk Management, Major Technology Projects and Enterprise Applications, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Cloud Management of Architecture & Security (AWS, Azure, GCP), Data Protection & Privacy (HIPAA, PHI security), Security Operations & Threat Detection, Third-Party & Vendor Risk Management, Business Resilience, Disaster Recovery & Incident Response, Emerging Technology Risk (AI, automation, and digital platforms).
  • Discuss technology and cybersecurity trends, and healthcare industry developments while mentoring team members and contributing to their growth.
  • Effectively build and manage client relationships, delivering solutions that address complex cyber and business challenges.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate technology solutions and capabilities to enhance client outcomes.
  • Continuously learn and stay current on the evolving healthcare business and threats, technologies, and regulatory expectations.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, supporting proposals and go-to-market strategies for cybersecurity services.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members and contribute to training initiatives.
  • Manage project delivery and contribute to client account growth.
  • Translate technology risks and technical topics into clear, actionable insights for executive stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple priorities and adapt to change in fast-paced environments.
