About The Position

Aprio Legal is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven marketing and brand leader to help accelerate growth, deepen client relationships, and strengthen Aprio Legal’s reputation in the marketplace. The role will serve as the primary marketing, business development and communications advisor to Aprio Legal’s attorneys and leaders. This individual will lead marketing programs, account prospecting/planning, support business and referral development, strengthen Aprio Legal’s presence in key communities/markets, and develop integrated marketing and communications strategies tied to growth. As the dedicated marketing and growth leader for Aprio Legal, this individual will work as part of Aprio’s broader Growth and Marketing team, leveraging and collaborating with expertise across content, communications, media relations, client experience, social, digital and other capabilities.

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience in marketing, business development, client development or communications, ideally within legal or professional services.
• Strong knowledge of legal marketing and business development and how attorneys build and grow client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic account prospect campaigns to advance client relationships and help attorneys identify opportunities to deepen relationships and grow business.
• Coach and support attorneys in business development, relationship building, networking and follow-up.
• Support attorneys in developing and nurturing external referral relationships.
• Strengthen connections and referral opportunities between Aprio Legal and the broader Aprio firm.
• Serve as an ambassador for Aprio Legal and Aprio in the broader legal, business and professional communities.
• Identify opportunities to build relationships with key associations, business organizations, community leaders, and referral networks.
• Support pitches, proposals, pursuits and other priority growth opportunities.
• Support curated events and programs in alignment with the go-to-market strategy for Aprio Legal
• Develop integrated marketing and go-to-market strategies aligned with Aprio Legal’s growth priorities.
• Translate business priorities into targeted campaigns, events, sponsorships, thought leadership, and other market-facing programs.
• Identify opportunities to differentiate Aprio Legal and increase awareness among priority audiences.
• Partner across Aprio to develop cross-service marketing and client-development opportunities.
• Leverage AI and automation for reporting, tracking and measuring ROI for Aprio Legal marketing and brand investments
• Serve as the communications partner for Aprio Legal, working closely with Aprio’s in-house Communications team to align legal practice priorities with broader firm communications and reputation strategies.
• Identify timely stories, attorney expertise, thought leadership and market developments that can be brought forward to the Communications team for broader activation.
• Partner with the Communications team to identify opportunities to elevate Aprio Legal, its attorneys and areas of expertise through media relations, thought leadership, executive visibility, and other external channels.
• Support communications around significant Aprio Legal business development, client success stories, announcements and reputation matters in coordination with firmwide Communications.
• Ensure Aprio Legal communications reinforce Aprio’s corporate narrative and brand while clearly articulating the legal practice’s capabilities and differentiation.
• Serve as a trusted marketing and business development advisor to Aprio Legal attorneys.
• Help attorneys turn growth priorities into practical business-development actions.
• Prepare attorneys for important client, prospect, referral and networking opportunities.
• Develop practical tools and resources that make business development easier and more actionable.
