Manager, Growth Strategy & Operations (Experiments/Campaigns)

AirwallexSan Francisco, CA
$120,000 - $180,000Onsite

About The Position

As the Manager for Growth Strategy & Operations, you'll build and run the experimentation engine behind Airwallex's global growth: what we test, how we test it, and how we know when we're right. You'll design and manage the end-to-end execution of growth experiments and campaigns. You'll work with cross-functional partners to translate strategic hypotheses into operational workflows, manage experiment design and tracking, coordinate launches and rollouts, synthesize learnings to inform next iterations and build scalable systems. You'll act as the operational backbone of the growth function, ensuring experiments run efficiently, dependencies are managed, and insights are captured. You'll own parts of our growth campaign calendar and experiment roadmap, working with Growth, Commercial, Data, Product, Engineering, Legal, Marketing to orchestrate launches. This role requires strong project management, analytical thinking, and the ability to balance speed with rigor. This role is based in San Francisco, CA.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in growth, operations, product management, or strategy roles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; comfort working with data and metrics
  • Experience designing or coordinating experiments; familiarity with A/B testing methodology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize and present insights clearly
  • Ability to execute in ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • A track record running experimentation programs with real statistical rigor, understanding holdouts, power, and significance.
  • Hands-on experience across lifecycle and Martech tooling and a CDP; ability to build and QA a campaign independently.
  • Strong analytical rigor, comfortable with SQL and/or analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Tableau, Hex, Looker etc.), and ability to translate raw performance data into decisions.
  • A prioritization instinct, with the ability to say no to good ideas to focus on the most impactful ones and defend those decisions with evidence.
  • Cross-functional range, moving easily between Commercial, Product, Marketing, Data, and Legal.
  • A bias to build, reaching for automation and AI to scale repeatable work, with guardrails in place before deployment.
  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, or high-growth tech companies.
  • Familiarity with agile and product development methodologies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and data teams to deploy experiments at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the experimentation backlog and roadmap, consolidating hypotheses and ranking them by impact, confidence, effort, and strategic fit.
  • Maintain the global campaign registry and forward calendar to prevent clashes and facilitate learning sharing.
  • Partner with campaign/experiment owners to define hypotheses, primary metrics, and target effect sizes.
  • Set up the measurement approach, including control/holdout groups, audience size, statistical power, and criteria for calling results.
  • Pressure-test experiment feasibility across audience, budget, and technical requirements, and identify necessary prerequisites.
  • Build, QA, and launch live campaigns across the Martech stack (Hightouch, Marketo, Infobip, Contentful).
  • Produce copy and creative variants, draft terms with Legal, and manage copy and design approvals.
  • QA the full customer journey before go-live, apply market-specific rules (consent, suppression, frequency-capping), and manage rollback protocols if needed.
  • Own the tracking taxonomy (campaign IDs, tagging conventions) for comparable results across campaigns and regions.
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards with Data Science (Hex, Looker), monitor performance, run ad-hoc analysis, and share results and learnings.
  • Identify gaps in tooling and process, and codify repeatable work (checklists, QA scripts, readout templates, registry library) into scalable tooling, leveraging AI with clear guardrails and human review.
  • Partner with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting, set expected impact and cost targets, manage allocated budgets, track utilization, and report actuals against forecast.
