Manager, Graphic Design

DaVita Kidney CareDenver, CO
Hybrid

About The Position

The Graphic Design Manager is a visionary creative lead, brand strategist, and strategic visual storyteller responsible for bridging the gap between complex healthcare operations and high-impact communication. While strong design execution is expected, this role goes beyond asset creation and presentation design; it requires a highly strategic thinker who can shape and elevate DaVita's brand identity. This role demands a multi-faceted expert: one who can seamlessly navigate high-stakes B2B environments, B2C (Patient-facing) needs, and internal B2E (Teammate-facing) campaigns, while also serving as the primary creative visionary for executive-level pitches and large-scale event visuals. The successful candidate is not just a "maker" but a persuasive communicator, brand strategist, and organized lead capable of pitching creative strategies directly to executive leadership. You will use advanced design capabilities, the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, and sophisticated workflows to transform clinical data into compelling, visionary narratives for physician partners, investors, and internal town halls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, or related field (Required).
  • 6 to 8+ years of professional design experience, with a heavy emphasis on brand strategy, corporate B2B, consumer-facing (B2C), and Executive Presentation/Pitch Design (Required).
  • Microsoft 365: Expert-level PowerPoint (Advanced animation, template architecture). Proficiency in Word and Outlook (Required).
  • Adobe Creative Cloud: Mastery of Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (Required).
  • Familiarity with tools like Smartsheet, Workfront, Wrike, or Asana to manage complex workflows (Required).
  • Must showcase brand strategy, advanced presentation work, motion/animation examples, and evidence of visual storytelling for both executive and stakeholder audiences (Required).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro for event video content.
  • Knowledge of environmental design and aspect ratios for stage screens (LED walls, projection).
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet for automated approvals or resource tracking.
  • Familiarity with Figma (UI/UX) or AI-driven ideation tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly).
  • Specific experience in patient education, clinical marketing, or a similarly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and produce high-quality visionary assets across digital, print, and environmental platforms. This includes patient education materials (B2C), social media campaigns, sales collateral (B2B), and internal (B2E) events and activations.
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership. Bring an ethereal, visionary approach to our brand identity. Lead creative "pitches," presenting overarching brand concepts and rationale to executive stakeholders, defending creative decisions with data-driven insights, and translating leadership vision into actionable, high-level design strategies.
  • Partner with leaders to translate complex data into intuitive visual narratives. Design audience-centric materials that explain kidney care clearly while maintaining professional quality for all stakeholders.
  • Lead the design and animation of executive-level presentations. Use advanced PowerPoint features and design tools to create "show-style" decks for large-scale events, investor meetings, and physician conferences, ensuring they align with broader brand strategy.
  • Champion DaVita’s brand identity across all media. Manage and evolve a library of scalable templates. Utilize project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet) to track workstreams, manage deadlines, and collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams.
