About The Position

The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low- and middle-income countries. CHAI works with governments and the private sector to create and sustain high-quality health systems. Founded in 2002, CHAI has expanded its focus from HIV/AIDS to include infectious diseases like COVID-19, malaria, tuberculosis, and hepatitis, as well as non-communicable diseases, vaccine rollout, maternal and child mortality, chronic malnutrition, and assistive technology. The organization also invests in horizontal approaches to strengthen health systems through programs in human resources for health, digital health, and health financing. CHAI's strategy emphasizes sustainable impact at scale, government leadership, national scalability, and global knowledge sharing. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning and Development, Education, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in learning and development, instructional design or organizational development roles, with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end program design and delivery.
  • Strong command of instructional design methodologies and their practical application in organizational settings.
  • Proven experience designing and facilitating engaging, outcomes-focused learning experiences for adult learners across diverse formats (in-person, virtual, blended, self-paced).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the design and implementation of large-scale, multi-stakeholder development initiatives.
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360).
  • Strong workshop facilitation, coaching and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to adapt content and delivery to varied audiences and contexts.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using data analytics and behavioral change metrics to assess the effectiveness of learning programs, drive continuous improvement and make evidence-based recommendations.
  • Ability to build strong, trust-based relationships across all levels of an organization and create buy-in in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Ability to work with urgency and independence to investigate and solve problems.
  • Professional, diplomatic, and thoughtful communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Foundational AI literacy for day-to-day work, with curiosity about how AI and emerging technologies can be leveraged to enhance learning program design and delivery.
  • Must be available to start work at 8am ET.
  • Must have valid work authorization.

  • True LMS experience ideal but not essential.
  • Experience working for a non-profit or global health organization is ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support the final stages and reporting outcomes of a Performance Enablement pilot, applying evaluation frameworks to assess effectiveness and inform iterations.
  • Coordinate the Performance Enablement 2026 adoption process, working with HR Business Partners and ensuring seamless support from Global Talent Development.
  • Iterate the Performance Enablement tools and materials based on pilot outcomes and learner feedback.
  • Design and execute a train-the-trainer plan for relevant workshops, drawing on adult learning theory to ensure facilitator readiness and co-facilitate workshops with HR Business Partners.
  • Track and report on adoption rates to help CHAI meet the target 50% org-wide implementation.
  • Support efforts to embed CHAI’s new Baseline Performance Standards, specifically through the delivery of related training programs and coaching/support for all staff.
  • Support the finalization of the design and development of a new Manager Development Program, applying instructional design methodologies.
  • Project manage the delivery of three in-person global cohorts for the Manager Development Program.
  • Ensure all program materials for the Manager Development Program are ready for delivery.
  • Execute a train-the-trainer plan for the Manager Development Program.
  • Co-facilitate modules for the Manager Development Program (some international travel required).
  • Oversee all cohort logistics for the Manager Development Program.
  • Monitor and evaluate learning outcomes for the Manager Development Program using established measurement models.
  • Support the finalization of the L&D strategy and the creation of a 2027–28 roadmap for delivery.
  • Support the delivery of this year's Mentorship Program cohort.
  • Lead the instructional design review of the People Management Learning Community Program.
  • Leverage existing authoring tools to maintain the CHAI Learning Platform, including the development of new content.
  • Design and deliver live, virtual workshops from the existing L&D repository for CHAI teams.
  • Facilitate coaching, mentoring and development planning initiatives.
  • Regularly monitor metrics and feedback mechanisms to assess the effectiveness and impact of L&D activities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and inclusion across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Partners, People Operations, Talent Acquisition and DEI teams to ensure integrated people strategies.
