The Manager, Global Fellowships, oversees the administration, recruitment, and promotion of CIEE’s flagship global fellowship programs, including the Frederick Douglass–Daniel O’Connell (FDDO) Global Internship and the Scan Design Foundation Environmental Sustainability Internship (SCAN). These programs are designed to expand access to global experiential learning and provide high-achieving student leaders with impactful international internship opportunities. The Manager works closely with colleagues across Institutional Relations, Enrollment, Marketing, and Global Operations to ensure strong applicant pipelines, effective internal coordination, and a high-quality participant experience. The role is highly organized, self-directed, and collaborative, with responsibility for managing program processes and communications across multiple internal and external stakeholders. The Manager, Global Fellowships, is accountable for meeting enrollment and institutional engagement targets across CIEE’s global fellowship programs. This role functions as a relationship-based sales position, driving qualified applications and institutional participation through strategic outreach, pipeline management, and performance tracking. The Manager will additionally support future growth by helping design, document, and scale repeatable recruitment, selection, and operational processes that can be applied to new fellowship opportunities as they are introduced. The primary purposes of the FDDO Global Internship and the Scan Design Foundation Environmental Sustainability Internship are to: Expand access to international internships for high financial need students who are historically underrepresented in study abroad, and demonstrate the academic and professional value of global experiential learning; Provide selected fellows with high-impact, career-relevant international internship experiences; and Increase student, campus, and institutional engagement with global internship opportunities through strategic recruitment, communication, and alumni involvement.
