Public Rights Project (PRP) is a national nonprofit organization that helps local government officials fight for civil rights. We build their capacity to protect and advance civil rights, convene and connect them on key issues, and provide legal representation to help them win in court for residents. Since 2017, PRP has been working at the intersection of community organizing and state and local government enforcement to build a scalable, equitable community-based enforcement model to protect civil rights and advance economic justice. We support progressive state and local governments, including Attorneys General, District Attorneys, and City Attorneys' Offices as well as Tribal Governments with legal strategy, research, fellowships, and community partnerships to help offices develop high-impact legal cases. Our fellowship programs support the professional development of attorneys in public service. Learn more about our work.
