Manages and operates the Backus Hospital Gift Shop & Boutique. Orders, displays, sells merchandise, inventory control, training, and supervising volunteers, creating and analyzing periodic sales reports, handling daily receipts, and maintaining accurate financial records. Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years in buying, merchandise and retail sales.
  • Ability to predict and monitor trends.
  • Active participant in vendor buying programs.
  • Working knowledge of office business equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians and managers.
  • Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions.
  • Must be organized, flexible and a team player.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Requires the ability to exercise discretion and use good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction.
  • Requires the ability to recognize problem situations and refer them to the appropriate staff member.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Eight (8) years of experience preferred.
