Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in category management, retail, or related field
  • University degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or equivalent experience
  • Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, priorities, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in payments or gift cards is an asset
  • Regular stores SAP experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day execution of category priorities for both 3rd party and President’s Choice gift card programs
  • Translate strategy into actionable plans aligned to business objectives
  • Lead planning and execution of merchandising programs by managing milestones, coordinating cross-functional dependencies, maintaining critical paths, and ensuring timelines stay aligned with business objectives.
  • Own creation and distribution of the merchandising scorecard program, working with store operators and banner leads to translate insights into actions and support execution that improves sales performance.
  • Support the execution of fixtures rollouts, planograms, and in-store optimization
  • Own promotional inventory planning and seasonal readiness
  • Lead the B2B and B2C gift card program, managing vendors to ensure policies, restrictions, and process standards are adhered to
  • Manage product lifecycle including card listing and de-listing, pricing/costing updates, and management and communication of IT releases
  • Drive process improvements across internal workflows
  • Lead project management for supply chain and sourcing initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with legal, risk, and vendor requirements
  • Oversee store audits, training programs, and operational standards
  • Act as SME for SAP and IT initiatives
  • Manage relationships with distributors, processors, call centres, and fraud/risk vendors
  • Ensure ongoing support from all third-party vendors to execute category strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Store Operations, Loss Prevention, Finance, Marketing, and IT.
  • Lead partner meetings and resolve issues
  • Act as liaison for internal stakeholders
  • Daily, weekly and periodic sales analysis and performance trends
  • Develop reporting and presentations for stakeholders
  • Develop annual sku-level inventory forecasts
  • Well versed in industry performance, trends, products, services and opportunities
  • Coach and support junior team member
  • Promote continuous improvement and collaboration
  • Support training and knowledge sharing
