About The Position

The Operations team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for a Manager General Manufacturing 2 based out of Woodland Hills, CA. This role is responsible for developing and administering budgets, executing, and recommending modifications to organizational processes and procedures. This leadership position requires working closely and collaborating with the Woodland Hills manufacturing organizations, engineering, program office, contracts, mission assurance, transportation, and supply chain management. The manager will also be responsible for the daily operations of a team or work cell.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree + 5 years of experience; Master's Degree + 3 years of experience; Ph.D + 0 years of experience (Note, an additional 4+ years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
3+ years of experience in Aerospace and manufacturing.
Experience in solving problems on the manufacturing floor.
Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite, such as Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
U.S. citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Business or Management discipline.
5+ years of related experience performing in a Production Control/Material Control or Supervisory role.

Responsibilities

Direct supervision of the staff.
Assignment of work, schedules, day-to-day workflow, and operating costs.
Assignments are received in task oriented terms.
Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and procedures.
Supports targeted training plan execution for new operators introduced to the team or work cell to ensure proficiency is obtained and maintained.
Works with other functional areas to ensure program goals are executed in support of cost, schedule and quality.
