About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Director, General Management, the Manager, General Management is responsible for overseeing key administrative, financial, and operational functions in support of Lincoln Center and the Resident Art Organization (RAO) programming and events. This role manages billing and rate card processes, serves as General Manager for designated programming, and partners closely with internal teams to ensure the successful planning, advancement, and execution of events and venue operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing financial administration with on-the-ground event support and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with three years’ experience preferred or six years of related experience required
  • Experience in theatrical General Management, event operations, or venue management strongly preferred
  • Outstanding organizational skills and extraordinary attention to detail
  • An understanding of excellent customer service and relationship building instincts
  • Superior project management skills and keen ability to multi-task across various teams
  • Knowledge of theatrical labor unions and collectively bargained agreements is preferred
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and curiosity to learn new technology as needed
  • A deep appreciation for the performing arts
  • A collaborative spirit, positive energy, and a desire to learn new skills and take on evolving responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Advance on-campus events for Lincoln Center and RAO organizations, as needed, including coordination with internal teams and external partners.
  • Serve as the General Manager for LCPA programming across venues, as needed.
  • Assist with event coverage and on-site support to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Manage the internal and RAO billing process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate internal and constituent rate cards to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare and issue invoices for internal and RAO events.
  • Support Venue Sales efforts and collaborate with other departments as needed.
  • Contribute to cross-functional teamwork, providing operational assistance where needed to support overall organizational goals.
