About The Position

Avid Bioservices is a leading clinical and commercial biologics CDMO focused on creating innovative solutions to meet the needs of our clients and improve patient outcomes. The Manager, Formulation & Manufacturing Support is a front-line operations leader responsible for driving execution excellence across formulation and manufacturing support functions within a GMP environment. This role is accountable for building structure, developing supervisors, and ensuring disciplined, right-first-time execution of manufacturing support activities, including formulation, equipment readiness, scheduling alignment, and batch record ownership.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline
5+ years GMP manufacturing support experience
2+ years leadership experience
Strong experience in GMP compliance, batch records, and deviation management
Execution leadership
People development
Operational discipline
Strong communication and problem solving
GMP compliance mindset

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing supervisors to drive accountability and execution discipline
Ensure schedule adherence and maintain operational efficiency
Own batch readiness including equipment, materials, documentation, and area setup
Ensure full GMP compliance including deviations, CAPAs, and documentation
Serve as Manufacturing interface with MSAT, Quality, Supply Chain, and clients
Drive continuous improvement using structured problem-solving (DMAIC, Lean)
Directly manage two Manufacturing Supervisors and indirectly support manufacturing support personnel.
