Manager, Food Safety Regulatory
About The Position
At HelloFresh, the Manager of Food Safety Regulatory develops, implements, and oversees food safety and regulatory compliance programs across the company’s operational network. The role interfaces with regulatory agencies, drives continuous improvement, and promotes a strong food safety and quality culture. The position ensures compliance with applicable local, city, state, and federal food safety requirements and company FSQA requirements. It oversees review of process records critical to food safety, addresses high-impact food safety issues, manages required licenses and certifications, and collaborates across FSQA and other departments to strengthen programs and meet objectives. The role also executes ad-hoc projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or another relevant subject.
- At least 3 years of experience within the food industry.
- Organizational oversight experience with a large-site or multi-site business.
- Strong attention to detail and a data-driven mindset.
- Extensive knowledge of principles and applications of FSQA programs, including HACCP, PCQI, and applicable certifications.
- Up-to-date knowledge of FDA, USDA, and local guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Ensure food safety compliance with local, city, state, and federal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company FSQA requirements.
- Ensure that process records critical to food safety are reviewed at established intervals.
- Address high-impact food safety issues experienced by the company and industry.
- Collaborate with FSQA partners to strengthen food safety strategy, programs, and practices.
- Manage food safety licenses and certifications required for compliance with local, city, state, and federal requirements.
- Represent the FSQ team with cross-functional departments to ensure FSQA objectives are met, supported, compliant, and continuously improving.
- Execute ad-hoc projects.
