About The Position
Join Walmart as a Manager, Finance, and play a key role in providing strategic input to the financial planning process. This position involves preparing financial analysis and modeling, recommending future expense targets, and planning and analyzing business performance in partnership with cross-functional areas. You will communicate with various functional areas to understand significant variations, document and prepare results for presentation, and provide follow-up or answer financial queries. Additionally, you will manage complex control structures to mitigate financial misstatement risks and enhance the transparency of financial reporting. Our team is responsible for analyzing business performance, providing financial decision support, and ensuring robust financial controls. We work cross-functionally to develop new processes and enhance reporting transparency, supporting the company's strategic goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area OR 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
- Curiosity or hands on application of Generative AI (ChatGPT, Claude etc) to accelerate business outcomes
- Experience with Power BI tools to analyze financial data.
- Designing Tableau financial tools.
- Understanding SQL queries to extract data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data.
- Creating Hyperion queries to extract data.
- Designing a forecast tool using Macros.
- Creating expense targets with cross-functional areas.
- Working with cross departments to set goals to improve department efficiencies, creating reporting to analyze revenues and expenses, and providing detailed reporting to department heads.

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic input to the financial planning process by preparing financial analysis and modeling, recommending future expense targets, and analyzing business performance in partnership with cross-functional areas.
- Communicate with functional areas to understand significant variations, document and prepare results for presentation, and provide follow-up or answer financial queries.
- Produce financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks, prepare presentations and supporting materials for recommendations, and participate in business case presentations to senior and executive management.
- Collaborate with senior management to plan and analyze business performance by identifying gaps between business goals and corporate objectives.
- Manage complex control structures to mitigate financial misstatement risks and enhance the transparency of financial reporting.
