The Manager is responsible for supporting the Director in planning and organizing resources for routine and scheduled functions, as well as responding to business unit questions. This role ensures the team is effectively trained, work products are reviewed, and communication regarding changes, issues, or status is distributed appropriately. The Manager models core departmental values, develops practices to ensure team member satisfaction, recognition, and engagement, and works to ensure processes operate effectively and efficiently by implementing best practices and improvements in a standardized way across all finance-related functions. The position supports finance and accounting activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and events.
