About The Position

The Ramp Manager works closely with our field teams, customers, and all business units to schedule and ensure high performance in executing the installation of our products. He/she will oversee the ramp field service engineers during installations, who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing one or more of the following: complex electro/mechanical equipment, software systems/applications, and sophisticated computer systems.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills necessary.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally and have a current Visa or entry permission.
  • Up to 20% travel required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Field Support Service.
  • BS in an electronics discipline or equivalent military experience in a technical field.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Master's Level Degree or work experience of 2 years
  • Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and schedule ramp installation activities.
  • Supervises ramp engineers’ tool installations under normal and abnormal conditions, including escalations and customer management.
  • Ensures that ramp engineers are current and trained on the latest upgrades and/or new releases.
  • Driving training plans and training programs.
  • Develop and maintain installation metric methods for specific tools sets.
  • Evaluates, selects, and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance and processes.
  • Expertise/experience in optics, image processing, and motion control to support worldwide ramp service engineers, local management teams, and knowledge management systems.
