About The Position

Manages all administrative employees and functions at a Hazardous Waste facility including Billing, Recordkeeping, Receiving, and the Scalehouse.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
5 years of previous work experience (in addition to education requirement).

Manages the planning and direction of Billing activities. Prepares and maintains account records and billing data and organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities
Manages Recordkeeping activities, including the e-manifest program, weight discrepancies, manifest storage, certificates of disposal, and waste mapping
Oversees the Scale house activities and waste receiving to ensure compliance with permits and regulations
Monitors Billing, Recordkeeping, and Scale house work processes, procedures and expenses, and establishes programs which drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals
Creates and maintains data and reports for senior management, accounting, and the state EPA.
Supervises staff and organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.
Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.
Oversees and conducts personnel needs of the department including coaching, safety training, disciplinary action, and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
Orders supplies as needed.
Oversees waste receipt and waste permitting. Monitors waste acceptance procedures to ensure compliance with existing Permits and regulations.
