The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services Facilities Team: RTX has an opening for a Manager, Facilities Maintenance (Manager, Facilities) role onsite in Tucson AZ. This role will involve managing the Facilities-Maintenance business portfolio at the Integration and Test Facility and within all capacity growth operations in Tucson AZ. And ensure world-class safety metrics are maintained and partner with EHS employees to ensure safety policies are in place and enforced.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in facilities, engineering or construction business and a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.
  • Experience in a CMMS system such as the Plant Maintenance module in SAP, Maximo, etc.
  • 3 years’ experience working cross-functionally with leadership, customers, and hourly skilled trades bargaining unit technicians.
  • 3 years’ experience and broad knowledge of production equipment and building infrastructures related to facilities maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Reliability Engineering and Predictive Maintenance technologies (PdM).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and apply for a Top-Secret Clearance after hiring as well as the ability to obtain the various program security clearances after hiring.
  • Familiarity with focused factory production methods and lean production requirements as well as with electrical, HVAC, or mechanical systems, tools, equipment, codes and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work well within a team and to foster teamwork with both external and internal customers and to communicate and articulate business goals, company policies, terms and conditions and risks and opportunities, create achievable daily preventative maintenance schedules and customer service schedules for hourly Skilled Trades employees.
  • Ability to work on Holidays and during the Christmas/Holiday shutdown.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing a safe work environment and will actively lead and engage in safety improvements discussions.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities and support all capacity growth operations within Tucson.
  • Coordinate Skilled Trades activities across all working shifts.
  • Coordinate with workforce planning, track employee training, certify timecard and attendance management, create area layout and flow management.
  • Assign daily schedules for PMs and repair work orders, conduct stand up meetings, set priorities and review reports/metrics to locate problem areas and create solutions.
  • Create PRs and POs as needed to support facilities maintenance requirements.
  • Material management and order supplies as required.
  • Ordering materials through MRO stores for PMs and Work orders.
  • Coordinate overtime when required, and log/track hours in OTIS.
  • Track vehicle maintenance and schedule services and repairs.
  • Work with fleet management.
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare RCAS analysis for logistics review boards.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with all levels of personnel, leadership, and customers.
  • Drive performance improvement by analyzing metrics, daily reports, KPIs, Kaizen projects, and developing plans to achieve organizational goals.
  • Adhere to and enforce the local collection bargaining agreement and all plant rules.
