About The Position

This position directs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and critical power maintenance and service operations. The role involves evaluating current and future projects, examining facility needs, and assessing equipment to increase efficiency. It also includes developing standard operating procedures and establishing facility maintenance inspections and preventive maintenance programs. The Manager drives the execution of business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing and communicating plans, removing barriers, providing resources, and measuring performance. They oversee sustainability initiatives to meet EPA compliance, manage complex projects by assigning work, planning, supervising, and inspecting completed assignments. The role also involves promoting company policies, directing regional field operations, ensuring business needs are met, and managing department budgets. Compliance with federal, state, and local HVACR laws and regulations is essential. The role emphasizes building high-performing teams, fostering a culture of belonging, working collaboratively, attracting and retaining talent, and acting with integrity. It requires putting the customer first, making data-driven decisions, and striving for continuous improvement and learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 3 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area.
  • EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Mechanical Contractor License or equivalent in the state you will be working.

Responsibilities

  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects.
  • Oversees execution of sustainability initiatives to meet Environmental Protection Agency compliance programs.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates.
  • Manages complex projects by determining work assignment priority, planning work assignments, and supervising work in progress.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Directs regional field operations by developing goals and direction.
  • Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives.
  • Ensures financial sustainability by developing and approving budgets.
  • Reviews budget plan by verifying cost estimates on requested and planned projects.
  • Maintains project oversight by ensuring timelines are met and coordinating changes.
  • Manages department budget by gathering and analyzing data trends.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration industry laws, regulations, and guidelines.
