About The Position

Lonza Houston is seeking a Manager, Facilities and Engineering to lead the reliable operation, maintenance, compliance, and strategic planning of site facilities in support of business, operational, and regulatory requirements. The role leads daily facilities operations and oversees contractors, budgeting, staffing, space planning, and facility expansion planning to help ensure the Houston site remains safe, compliant, efficient, and fit for purpose. The position is onsite in Pearland, Texas.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
Highly experienced in Facilities Engineering.
Strong knowledge of building codes.
Strong financial acumen and ability to partner effectively with vendors.
Ability to proactively identify issues and offer solutions.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering, Biotechnology, or a similar field.
Master’s degree.
Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and be accountable for the reliable operation and maintenance of Houston site facilities.
Ensure facilities systems, infrastructure, and building operations support site needs, business continuity, and operational readiness.
Direct and lead daily Facilities operations across the site.
Manage departmental budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for facilities-related activities.
Lead contractor vetting, selection, and supervision for site support services.
Oversee contractor performance for plant security, GMP and non-GMP cleaning, cafeteria services, pest control programs, and building maintenance technician services.
Ensure contractors meet site expectations for safety, quality, compliance, and service performance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
