About The Position

The Manager, Event Marketing is responsible for the independent management and execution of external-facing events (trade shows, associated client events, and enablement expos) for our Government and Public Safety lines of business. Operating with limited guidance, you will apply a data-driven mindset to solve complex operational challenges, optimize event ROI, and act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and sales leadership, while keeping our customers' experience top of mind. This role requires in-depth knowledge of trade shows and events and experience to operate with limited guidance, applying new perspectives to solve complex problems and making decisions that impact a range of customer and operational activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in B2B event marketing or experiential marketing, with a proven track record of driving measurable pipeline results.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proficient with event management systems (e.g., Cvent) and modern project management software.
  • Knowledge of CRM/Automation tools is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the tactical planning, onsite execution, and logistics for a robust calendar of trade shows and adjacent customer events, ensuring our brand footprint is impactful, consistent, and impeccable
  • Maintain real-time visibility on all moving parts using our project management system, Wrike. Manage timelines, anticipate bottlenecks, and multi-task across concurrent events without losing attention to detail.
  • Identify and evaluate industry events that align with company goals; manage the master event schedule
  • Independently develop work plans for moderate-to-complex assignments, ensuring clearly defined goals and objectives are set and measured for ROI. Ability to present clear and concise plans and outcomes to a variety of audiences.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with show organizers, exhibit houses and promotional vendors, to maximize budget efficiency.
  • Manage budgets for assigned shows. Independently devise work-around and contingency planning needs, making recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Guide internal teams in the planning of business unit kickoff meetings, customer advisory board meetings, and vertical-specific trade show planning.
