Manager - Epic Inpatient Orders (Remote Available)
About The Position
The Epic Inpatient Orders Team Manager is responsible for leading a team of 5 full-time analysts and 2 contractors. This manager role will assign work to Inpatient Orders analysts and prioritize and plan for future enhancements and projects. The Orders team manager is currently responsible for leading the Provider workstream for the Clarksville Hospital Go-Live and would be responsible for leading similar workgroups for implementations in the future. The Orders team supports Epic build, testing, and implementation of inpatient consults and procedures, inpatient provider workflows, lab orderables, blood bank, order transmittal and many other workflows in Epic this manager is ultimately responsible for overseeing and acts as an escalation point for issues in these areas. This manager supports upgrades by leading note review efforts and acts as secondary on-call for the Orders team.

Responsibilities
- Managing IT staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations, assigning projects/tasks, and monitoring performance.
- Ensures staff alignment with mission and strategic plan
- Ensures staff compliance with budgets, resource allocation, operational plans, and policies.
- Ensures that projects stay on track and regularly communicates status to department leadership and business/operational leaders.
- Regularly review/implement advances in technology and industry best practices.
- Assists with preparation of operating and capital budgets following established guidelines and using benchmark data.
- Overseeing and acts as an escalation point for issues in inpatient consults and procedures, inpatient provider workflows, lab orderables, blood bank, order transmittal and many other workflows in Epic.
- Supports upgrades by leading note review efforts.
- Acts as secondary on-call for the Orders team.
