About The Position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is seeking a Manager of Environmental Services (Full-Time). This role provides oversight of the Environment Services/Housekeeping department and assists the Director with implementing and sustaining a fiscally responsible and measurably effective housekeeping and linen program across the hospital. The manager will be a key part of a leadership team focused on creating a clean, hygienic, and safe patient-centered environment. This includes employing sustainable practices like "green cleaning" and integrated pest management, aligning with customer demands, and achieving high patient satisfaction scores and internal key performance indicators within budget. The position is responsible for maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable Federal and District regulations, including EPA, DDOE, DOH, and OSHA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience required.
  • At least two years (2) of leadership experience.
  • Must complete CHRMC Hazardous Materials Training for Generators within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership in an Environmental Services leadership position preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospital environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a union environment preferred.
  • Experience using LEAN or other similar performance improvement methods to transform operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight of the Environment Services/Housekeeping department.
  • Assists the Director of Environmental Services/Housekeeping with implementing and sustaining a fiscally responsible and measurably effective, housekeeping and linen program across the hospital.
  • Produces a clean, hygienic, and safe environment that is patient-centered, sustainable (i.e. employs "green cleaning" and integrated pest management), aligned with customer demands, and yields great results measured by patient satisfaction scores and internal key performance indicators within the approved budget.
  • Maintains compliance with policies and procedures, and applicable Federal and District regulations to include, but not limited to EPA, DDOE, DOH and OSHA.
