About The Position
The Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics business provides leading naval computing infrastructure, network and data distribution and middleware enterprise services, as well as world-class manufacturing and support capabilities. This role is responsible for managing a team of engineers on complex projects / activities ensuring completion on time and on budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 7+ years of experience
- High level of knowledge and experience in multiple engineering disciplines - enough to lead engineers on project teams
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
Responsibilities
- Ability to manage a technical group independently
- Manage budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
- Drive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
- Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
- Participate in preparation of proposals
- Manage and direct the work of others as assigned
- Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
