Manager, Engineering – Web/Applications

As an Engineering Manager on the Web team at BrightInsight, you will lead a web Front-End engineering team in building solutions in an agile environment. The key to success in this role is having a strong and innovative approach to problem-solving, excellent technical leadership, effective communication skills, flexibility, and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail. The Web team is responsible for creating a best-in-class experience for customers and driving engineering solutions across various initiatives focused on product and platform needs. You will be accountable for driving projects from idea formulation to implementation, architecting and developing technical designs, fostering partnerships with product and UX teams, resolving technology roadblocks, managing cross-product dependencies, advocating for domain architecture, and building a strong and diverse team through hiring and mentoring.

• Lead a web Front-End engineering team in an agile environment building solutions

• Have 8-12+ years of software development experience in an Agile environment
• Possess proficiency in JavaScript Framework (React, Vue, Angular)
• Have experience leading, coaching, and mentoring web development teams
• Demonstrate strong fundamentals and knowledge of the Web ecosystem
• Have strong hands-on skills in complex system design and implementation
• Manage customer-facing applications through reliability and resiliency fundamentals

• 8-12+ years of software development experience in an Agile environment
• 8+ years of proficiency in JavaScript Framework (React, Vue, Angular)
• 3-5+ years of experience leading, coaching, and mentoring web development teams with a strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional projects
• Strong Fundamentals and knowledge of Web ecosystem overall including Web Performance tooling/optimization, JavaScript and CSS best practices
• Strong hands-on skills. Can drill deep into the complex system design and implementation when needed
• Strong experience in managing customer facing applications through reliability and resiliency fundamentals
