About The Position

The Manager of Engineering is responsible to the Director of Engineering to oversee the daily activities of the Facilities Engineering Department personnel and all functions relating to utilities & utility equipment management, facilities, buildings, grounds, clinical engineering, utilities and related equipment systems. The majority of the day-to-day oversight will be over Rockville General, a campus of MMH but will also help with other projects throughout the network based on review and oversight of the director. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • A Connecticut driver’s license
  • Three to Five years of increasing responsibility in facility maintenance or project management in a health care setting
  • At least three years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • Familiarity with building maintenance techniques, equipment, and operation of various systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and structural
  • Applicable codes, specifically NFPA and building codes
  • Ability to apply principles of personnel management in the workplace
  • Fluently familiar with preventive maintenance management system
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Maintain a driving record free of any violations
  • Pass a safe driving educational program upon hire and annually thereafter
  • Ability to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Knowledgeable in Joint Commission Standards, DPH, CMS, DEEP and OSHA regulations
  • Mid-level computer skills in Excel
  • Basic level computer skills in PowerPoint for presentations
  • Operational skills for the building management system

Nice To Haves

  • CHFM Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • S2 or P2 license
  • Licensed in plumbing, electrical or HVAC
