Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role
  • Proven ability to grow engineers and positively impact their career progression
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams with full project ownership
  • Demonstrated success managing complex engineering projects with schedule accountability
  • Hands-on experience across multiple engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing
  • Ability to apply first-principles thinking to solve complex technical problems

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of high-voltage circuit designs and hardware systems for Helion’s fusion devices.
  • Grow and lead a high-performing electrical engineering team by providing mentorship, modeling technical excellence, and driving execution speed.
  • Solve complex engineering challenges that directly impact machine performance and help deliver clean, low-cost, reliable electricity to the world.
  • Grow and mentor a team of multidisciplinary electrical engineers.
  • Oversee design of machine architecture, pulsed power circuits, grid-interfacing systems, and circuit modeling including plasma coupling.
  • Drive schedule ownership and optimization across the team to accelerate milestone achievement.
  • Lead design, analysis, and process improvements to increase engineering throughput.
  • Collaborate with Research, Mechanical, and Production teams to derive system requirements and meet program goals.
