About The Position

This role is responsible for driving Callaway’s strategy of delivering an effective shopping and browsing experience for customers across multiple eCommerce sites. The Manager will ideate, execute, and test strategies to improve online conversion funnels, average basket size, and qualitative measures of shopper engagement. This position will monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across devices, platforms, and customer segments to ensure both short- and long-term business objectives are achieved. The role also involves providing input and context to Creative, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure that digital content and storytelling drive performance goals. Additionally, the Manager will partner with Marketing and Business Units to develop and manage the eCommerce merchandising calendar, develop and oversee an experimentation (A/B testing) roadmap, and partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Data, and Product teams to define business requirements. The Manager will collaborate with the Data Engineering team to design and implement automated and data-driven solutions, define and build detailed business requirements for development tickets, and manage, influence, and leverage other teams within the broader organization. This role includes developing and leading a team of direct reports, including two (2) Senior eCommerce Merchandisers and two (2) eCommerce Merchandisers. The position may offer remote work up to three (3) days per week and requires up to fifteen percent (15%) domestic travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics or related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in eCommerce merchandising, with exposure to analytics.
  • Experience managing multi-site and multi-locale (or multi-region) eCommerce environments with shared systems, centralized operations, and alignment of content, catalog, and pricing across different locales.
  • Experience managing eCommerce operations with annual revenue of approximately $150 million or comparable enterprise scale, including oversight of large-scale product catalogs (10,000+ SKUs or comparable) with complex category and assortment structures.
  • Experience with web analytics and site-experience platforms including Google Analytics, Contentsquare, or equivalent tools for monitoring eCommerce KPIs and customer behavior, and experience using and optimizing headless content management systems (CMS) to manage and publish digital merchandising content.
  • Experience collaborating with Data and Engineering teams to design and implement automated merchandising workflow solutions that increase efficiency and reduce manual operational effort.
  • Experience managing and developing a merchandising team, including assigning priorities, setting timelines, and ensuring successful execution of digital merchandising initiatives.
  • Experience working with design and creative teams to develop and optimize digital assets, with an understanding of size and format requirements across device types.
  • Experience overseeing the full product-launch cycle and merchandising strategy, including coordination of landing pages (PLP), product detail pages (PDP), and execution of promotions across homepage banners, category pages, and cart pages.
  • Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms including Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), including management of promotions, sorting rules, and catalog structure, and developing and managing personalization campaigns using Dynamic Yield or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience with data-visualization and reporting tools, including Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent platforms, and familiarity with data-querying or analytics languages including SQL or Python for analyzing merchandising or customer data.
  • Experience building and optimizing an eCommerce merchandising calendar, ensuring alignment of seasonal, promotional, and campaign timelines.
  • Experience supporting A/B testing ideation and execution to improve conversion rates and user engagement.
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams (creative, marketing, product, and engineering) to deliver digital initiatives and execute site-merchandising and promotional strategies.
  • Experience working with Product and Development teams to identify, prioritize, and implement site improvements, submit and QA development tickets, and ensure clear requirement documentation and validation.

  • Define and build detailed business requirements for development tickets to implement merchandising-related solutions and automation initiatives.
  • Manage, influence, and leverage other teams within the broader organization to advance digital objectives and drive continuous improvement across tools, systems, and site experiences.
  • Develop and lead a team of direct reports, including two (2) Senior eCommerce Merchandisers, two (2) eCommerce Merchandisers.
