Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in secondary or post-secondary education department or early college programming Dual Credit and/or Dual Enrollment programs required.
  • Two (2) years of experience collaborating with high schools teachers and college faculty required.
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, or other applicable technology systems required.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Must have a valid Illinois driver's license for traveling to area high schools and/or other venues.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Some college teaching experience preferred.
  • Dual Credit Program teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day administration and implementation of the College's Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment programs.
  • Coordinate course offerings, program activities, and services with participating high schools and College academic divisions.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with high school administrators, teachers, College faculty, deans, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate processes related to high school course offerings, instructor eligibility and credentialing, course documentation, and program records.
  • Administer onboarding and orientation processes for high school Dual Credit instructors, College liaisons, and other program participants through applicable systems.
  • Maintain and update program handbooks, manuals, procedural documentation, training materials, and other program resources.
  • Implement established Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment guidelines, instructional protocols, and program procedures and communicate requirements to participating schools and students.
  • Monitor program activities for compliance with established College, ICCB, IBHE, HLC, and other applicable requirements and identify issues requiring further review.
  • Prepare reports regarding enrollment, course offerings, student participation, and program activities.
  • Track and analyze program data and provide information and recommendations to support program improvement and decision-making.
  • Coordinate workshops, orientations, information sessions, high school events, and other activities supporting Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment.
  • Support the development and implementation of program pathways and Program of Study agreements with participating high schools.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate College staff to support pathways from high school to COD and, where applicable, transfer opportunities to four-year institutions.
  • Represent the College at high school, community, and College events related to Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment.
  • Coordinate implementation of technology systems and processes designed to improve program efficiency, recordkeeping, and service delivery.
  • Monitor expenditures and administer assigned program resources in accordance with established budgets and College procedures.
  • Supervise and provide direction to assigned staff, including establishing work priorities, monitoring performance, and supporting professional development.
  • Identify operational issues and opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to the Assistant Director.
  • Participate in College committees, meetings, and professional development activities as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
