About The Position

At Goodwill Industries of Western New York, donated goods are the foundation of our mission. Every donation helps fund programs and services that empower individuals through the power of work. We are seeking a strategic, relationship-focused professional to serve as our Manager, Donation Acquisition. In this newly created role, you will lead efforts to increase the quantity, quality, and accessibility of donated goods across our territory. Through community partnerships, business development, outreach initiatives, and innovative donation programs, you will help ensure Goodwill has the resources needed to serve more people and strengthen communities throughout Western New York. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying growth opportunities, using data to drive decisions, and creating measurable organizational impact.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, fundraising, marketing, community engagement, partnership development, or a related field.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Western New York on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies to increase donated goods throughout Western New York.
Build and maintain relationships with businesses, schools, municipalities, healthcare organizations, nonprofit partners, and community groups.
Identify new donation opportunities, partnerships, and collection channels.
Lead the planning and execution of Goodwill's Mobile Donation Unit program.
Research, pilot, and implement new donation acquisition initiatives.
Analyze donation trends, market opportunities, and performance data to drive growth.
Develop dashboards, reports, and recommendations for executive leadership.
Partner with Retail Operations, Logistics, and Marketing to align donation acquisition activities with organizational needs.
Represent Goodwill at community events, networking functions, and partnership meetings.
