About The Position

The Inbound Manager plans, organizes and executes the receipt and storage of all product and goods. Prepares and maintains necessary reports, policies, procedures, and activities, including spreadsheets, training and personnel records. Oversees and directs typical Operations duties such as scheduling, acceptable goal setting for performance while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Directly manages Operations Associates and Operations Supervisor. Ours is a culture of innovation, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. Requirements

  • 1+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience leading frontline associates and/or supervisors in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using operational metrics and KPIs to drive performance improvements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage multiple competing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms, or inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience managing inbound transportation, receiving operations, or inventory control processes.
  • Understanding of Bills of Lading, packing lists, freight documentation, and warehouse compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to Operations Supervisors and Associates.
  • Build a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews, career development discussions, and succession planning activities.
  • Address performance concerns, resolve conflict, and recognize exceptional contributions.
  • Lead inbound receiving, put-away, replenishment, and inventory flow activities.
  • Ensure inbound freight is processed safely, accurately, and within service level expectations.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements that increase productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify operational risks and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure inventory integrity through disciplined execution of receiving, cycle counting, and inventory control processes.
  • Monitor inventory discrepancies, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner closely with Inventory Control teams to maintain inventory health and operational accuracy.
  • Analyze operational metrics and KPIs including: Receiving throughput, Inventory accuracy, Productivity, Labor utilization, Quality and error rates, Safety performance.
  • Communicate performance trends, opportunities, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Create and maintain reporting that supports operational decision making.
  • Develop presentations and deliver insights, operational updates, business cases, and continuous improvement initiatives to senior leadership audiences.
  • Translate complex operational data into clear, actionable recommendations that support business decisions.
