About The Position

The Cat® Foresight team is seeking a talented and motivated Manager of Digital Products to lead the development of the Cat® Foresight Condition Monitoring Module. This role will lead a team of product owners and work with internal and external stakeholders, as well as engineering teams, to develop digital product capabilities that will help our customers maintain their equipment, proactively diagnose potential issues, and plan for maintenance before the issues ever arise. Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Extensive understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Expert knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
  • Expert knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
  • Expert knowledge of software product management; ability to operate and manage software product development projects at all stages of the product development lifecycle.
  • Gathers, summarizes and prioritizes ideas for new products, or new versions of existing products.

Nice To Haves

  • Typically, 10+ years of professional experience and 5+ years as a Product Manager or related role using Agile methodology
  • Experience managing people, with demonstrated ability building trust, fostering communication, setting clear expectations and deadlines, conducting performance reviews and motivating, developing and empowering teams.
  • Proven experience leading a technical team while simultaneously managing multiple projects
  • Experience managing projects using Agile software tools such as Mingle, DevOps/VSTS, JIRA, Team Services, Rally
  • Working knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for resolving software problems; ability to manage software problems in installed software products.
  • Experience working with onshore/offshore team model
  • Demonstrated ability to empower teams
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle

Responsibilities

  • Manages prioritization of issues, enhancements, new features.
  • Monitors and reports on product value realization and usage metrics.
  • Partners with Industry teams to position and promote developed capabilities.
  • Coordinates with Engineering to develop and deploy new features and new releases on schedule.
  • Works with operations to monitor and analyze product quality performance.
