About The Position

The Manager - Dental Production is responsible for overseeing the production flow and productivity within the dental division, ensuring that production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained. This role involves coaching and mentoring staff, implementing new policies, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. The manager also analyzes cost and production reports, serves as a liaison between departments, and handles employee relations matters in coordination with Human Resources.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the dental industry as a dental technician or Certified Dental Technician.
  • Minimum five (5) years of managerial or team leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal education in a related area specialty preferred.
  • Certified Dental Technician a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as coach and mentor to staff in areas of problem solving, decision making, process improvement, and professional growth.
  • Manage production flow and productivity within the division; ensure production turnaround time schedules are met.
  • Serve as liaison between the division and other departments.
  • Ensure new policies, programs, and operational changes are implemented and adhered to on the production floor.
  • Ensure functional areas are complying with standardized work policies and safety regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous work flow process improvements.
  • Analyze cost and production reports to ensure operations are maximized and efficient.
  • Provide relevant feedback to management regarding any problems and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Assist and advise technicians having problems with cases using extensive technical knowledge.
  • Ensure staff compliance with all company policies.
  • Ensure quality standard compliances are being met across the division.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and direct management on employee relations matters.
  • Hire, oversee, develop, review, and set goals for the department and staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, recognize positive behavior, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Assist, train, guide, and support team members in problem solving, decision making, process improvement, and professional growth.
  • Ensure the team understands department performance standards and individual performance expectations.
  • Enforce adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Handle employee relations matters including performance management and corrective/disciplinary actions, in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require.
