About The Position

J&J is currently seeking a Manager, Data Science to join their Vision team in Jacksonville, FL. The Manager, Data Science leads a team of analysts responsible for delivering business intelligence and advanced analytics for the US Commercial organization. The team combines modern data science, analytics, and machine learning to generate deep, actionable insights that inform leadership decisions and help drive performance across a multi-channel, $2B business. This team shapes portfolio and service strategy by influencing data design, building models to quantify impact and ROI, and applying statistical methods to surface trends and solve commercial problems. This leader brings deep data science expertise and designs and implements evaluation methodologies for GenAI and Agentic AI solutions. Partnering with data engineering, forecasting, and business analytics—as well as Sales and Marketing—this role informs resource prioritization, program design and optimization, audience segmentation and targeting, and go-to-market deployment. The leader collaborates across functions and levels to unlock efficiency gains, reduce costs, and build sustainable analytics and AI capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field).
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic insights and analytics, market research, business analytics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply advanced analytics to solve business problems.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and leaders; comfortable forming a point of view grounded in data and driving decisions through insight.
  • Proficiency with data/analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Informatica, SQL, Python or R, Talend, Qlik, MicroStrategy, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and advanced Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in a STEM or related discipline preferred (e.g., Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics).

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-performing data science team within JJV to increase the speed and quality of insights and strengthen commercial decisions across activities, investments, and results.
  • Partner with data engineering to build and maintain data pipelines that improve availability, timeliness, and quality—enabling faster decisions and reducing manual reporting effort.
  • Integrate and analyze complex datasets to visualize market trends and model business impact, enabling smarter targeting, improved resource allocation, and stronger commercial results.
  • Deliver and sustain solutions that increase stakeholder self-service, improve performance visibility, and drive more consistent commercial execution.
  • Identify, size, and prioritize growth opportunities by analyzing diverse datasets to guide portfolio, channel, and investment decisions and improve ROI.
  • Partner with commercial stakeholders to capture and prioritize requirements—translating needs into decision-ready data products that increase adoption, trust, and business impact.
  • Define and execute the AI strategy to prioritize high-impact use cases, scale capabilities, and improve business outcomes through sustained adoption and measurable value realization.
  • Establish quality and performance standards; define and track KPIs to improve data accuracy and consistency, reduce rework, and increase confidence in reporting and insights.
