About The Position

Flagstar Bank, N.A. is seeking a Data Science Manager to guide the development of data analytics in various environments using structured and unstructured data. This role involves presenting complex concepts in a digestible format for a diverse audience, and being responsible for end-to-end data science solution design, technical delivery, and value quantification. The manager will also provide advice on improving metrics, reports, and analysis using BI tools, coach junior data scientists, and collaborate with business leaders to translate business goals into tactical solutions. Additionally, the role focuses on identifying new data science capabilities and their applications to advance the bank's innovative data-driven culture.

Requirements

Master’s degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. C/S, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or Physics).
Minimum 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in leveraging data science and analytics to solve business problems with relevant experience in data analysis, modeling and visualization.
1 year of the 2 years of required experience must be in the banking or finance industry.

Responsibilities
