About The Position

This role supports the development and operations of Data Products in Canadian Commercial Banking ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Manager receives direction from Senior Manager, Data Products and Operations, Director, Data Strategy and Governance and works independently to identify, develop and implement strategies and achieve results. A high degree of judgement is required to effectively review and analyze initiatives, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered.

Requirements

3+ years’ experience working with business stakeholders and end-to-end delivery of business intelligence dashboard for business users
Experience in Business Intelligence visualization tools, especially Power BI, with the ability to learn new applications quickly
Experience accessing, compiling and analyzing large volumes of data into usable form, using Power Query and SQL server database programming
Strong analytical thinking, effective problem solving, and organizational know-how skills are critical for success
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as this role will collaborate with a wide audience of business stakeholders
Strong prioritizing, presentation, project management and planning skills
The incumbent should be able to work in a fast paced and energized environment, deal with tight deadlines, solve complex problems, and balance conflicting priorities.

Nice To Haves

2+ years’ experience in Experience in programming tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, R an asset

Responsibilities

Documents and organizes data requirements and business logic in business intelligence reports and other portfolio management solutions and communicates with engineering teams
Oversees the full lifecycle of data products, from ideation, design, development, and launch, through to adoption, iteration, and eventual deprecation.
Ensures data products are user-centric, valuable, usable, and feasible, delivering tangible business outcomes
Ensures data is complete, accurate, consistent, and available on a timely basis to support informed decision-making. tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) for data products, measuring their adoption, business impact.
Works closely with Commercial data governance team to manage data and ensure discoverability of data products in enterprise catalog.
Acts as a centre of excellence for Commercial Banking, working directly with all stakeholders to understand their needs, translate requirements and deliver best-in-class data solutions
Develops analytics to support critical commercial bank functions (e.g. compliance, performance enablement, finance, pricing etc.)
Partners with business stakeholders to address ad hoc requests, ensuring that queries are addressed in a timely manner and feedback are promptly incorporated into future developments
Drives process automation and efficiency improvements, reducing cycle time for report generation and data accessibility
Continuously enhance expertise in cloud-based technologies and data products knowledge, tools and infrastructure, staying at the forefront of industry innovations to provide best-in-class solutions
Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
